“From the moment I stepped through the door, it felt as if a gentle bliss had swept over me. Katina our host was most gracious and welcoming, her kind and knowledgeable team took great care of us and were so open with their responses. I could not believe how well we were looked after. Everything felt well organised, full of mindful activities and information but in no way rushed. I thought things couldn’t get much better as we sat down to our delicious and generous lunch, but to be given tea and dinner to take with us, it really was something special.”

Health Retreat – Ayurvedic Treatments
Our Ayurvedic Health Retreat includes a daily consultation with an Ayurvedic Doctor and a custom-prescribed treatment plan including a range of the following treatments.
Consultation With Ayurvedic Doctor
All our doctors and therapists are qualified, accredited practitioners offering authentic, classical Ayurveda treatments. During the consultation, the doctor will ask you a series of questions about your health and lifestyle and then examine your tongue and check your pulse to help determine your dosha (constitution) type. We are all made up of a mix of the three doshas (Pitta, Vata and Kapha), but one will often dominate, and this will determine the best treatment program and herbal formulations to suit your unique situation.
Please note that our retreat does not provide mental health counselling or therapy services. If you have been diagnosed with or are currently experiencing mental health conditions such as severe anxiety, depression, or other psychiatric concerns, we advise that you consult a healthcare professional to assess whether our retreat is suitable for your needs. Our programs are designed for general wellness and may not be appropriate for individuals requiring specific mental health support.
Yoga, Meditation & Breathwork
To start the day, our therapists will guide you through a gentle yoga class along with guided meditation and breathwork to help create a sense of peace and stillness.
Yoga, meditation and breathwork can profoundly affect the mind, body and wellbeing. They are powerful tools to help you manage stress / anxiety, build self-awareness and increase concentration and focus. Regular yoga, meditation and breathwork practices have been proven to help induce relaxation, reduce stress, heart rate and blood pressure, and can help decrease pain and inflammation.
Indian Head Massage
An Indian head massage is a great way to help relieve stress and tension in the head, neck and shoulders. It goes well beyond the physical and can deliver mental and emotional benefits that can lead to feelings of deep relaxation, profound clarity and oneness.
The treatment works by gently massaging the marma (acupressure) points along the head neck and shoulders with special oil to release energetic blockages and allow vital energy (prana) to flow. The gentle massaging movement increases blood flow to deliver more oxygen to the brain, boosts the lymphatic system (immunity), conditions the scalp and nourishes the hair follicles and roots, which can help strengthen the hair and help reduce hair breakage and loss.
Facial Marma Massage
Our facial marma massage is so much more than a facial. It is a gentle treatment that helps to dissolve stress, tension and headaches. Warm herbal oils are tenderly massaged into the skin and light touch is used to stimulate specific energy points (marma) in the face.
The therapeutic oil, combined with gentle manipulation of the marma (acupressure) points, helps to release energetic and emotional blockages, stimulate the lymph nodes (immunity) and increase blood flow whilst nourishing and hydrating the skin.
Signature Abhyanga Massage
Our signature Abhyanga massage is a restorative Ayurvedic massage, unlike any other massage. It is a blissful sensory experience delivered with beautiful music, warm herbal oil and gentle strokes that follow the body's energy lines (marma). It incorporates the whole body including the head, face, neck, shoulders, fingers and feet for a totally relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Cleanse, detox and revitalise
The massage oil is treated with herbs that cleanse and detoxify the body and create a fragrant aroma. Our massage uses long, sweeping strokes focused on the acupressure points (marma), which release energetic blockages, stimulate the lymphatic system (immunity), improve circulation, and create a beautiful sense of nurturing and wellbeing.
Ayurvedic Body Scrub
Following your massage, your therapist will formulate a special herbal scrub (paste) and rub it into the skin. The herbal paste helps to condition skin, increase circulation, cleanse impurities and detox the body.
Ayurvedic Steam Bath
An Ayurvedic steam bath is not like an ordinary bath; it is a specially designed seated steam chamber that circulates steam around the body below the head.
Steam opens the pores, allowing the herbal scrub to penetrate deep down through the skin into the blood and tissues for maximum detoxification. As the steam penetrates deep into the muscle and connective tissue, it can relieve muscle tension along with pain and stiffness in the joints.
Footbath
A warm footbath is often administered before treatments to help relax clients and draw out impurities from the feet. The footbath contains Epsom salts and aromatherapy oils to nurture and detox the body.
Shirodhara
Shirodhara is a divine and relaxing therapy that helps to soothe and calm the mind to relieve stress, anxiety, headaches and improve sleep. It stimulates the pineal gland, third eye and higher consciousness. A steady stream of warm herbal oil is continually flowed across the forehead to trigger the body's relaxation response (parasympathetic nervous system), which calms the mind, relaxes the body and significantly reduces stress levels.
Nasya Therapy
The nostrils are pathways where toxins can enter and exit the body. Nasya therapy utilises herbal oils or blends introduced into the nostrils. This purifies nasal passages, throat and sinuses by eliminating impurities. Additionally, it's thought to enhance mental clarity, focus and concentration by stimulating the brain and nervous system.
Greevabasti
Greevabast uses warm herbal oils in a reservoir around the neck and upper back. The oil is left to steep into the skin for around 30 minutes. Greevabasti helps to ease pain, inflammation, and tension, and it nourishes muscles and enhances flexibility.
Janu Basti
Janu Basti uses warm herbal oil in a reservoir on the knee joint. The oil is left to steep into the joint for around 30 minutes. This deeply nourishes, strengthens, eases pain and inflammation, and helps to promote healing.
Kati Basti
Kati Basti uses warm herbal oil held in a reservoir on the lower back. The oil is left to steep into the back for around 30 minutes. This gently warms the back and nourishes the tissues to help ease pain and inflammation, and helps to promote healing.
